Stones – Crystals & Chakras

Crystals and Chakras

Your body has an energetic system that includes seven centers called chakras. Chakra is the Sanskrit word for “wheel,” and when these centers are open and turning, they are believed to distribute life-force energy throughout the body. The seven main chakras run from your tailbone to the crown of your head. Each chakra vibrates with a different color frequency, and therefore it can be attuned with crystals that match its color.

THE ROOT CHAKRA – resonates with red, black, brown, and silver crystals. This is the center for stability, grounding, protection, and security. It is located at the base of your spine.

THE SACRAL CHAKRA – resonates with orange and peach stones. This is the center of your creativity, sexuality, passions, and desires. It is located about a hands-width below your navel.

THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA – resonates with yellow, gold, and amber stones. This is the core of your being. It is the center for your self-worth, confidence, and will. Your solar plexus is located below your sternum.

THE HEART CHAKRA – resonates with all shades of green and pink. This is the center for love and compassion and helps regulate all the other chakras. It’s right in the center of your chest.

THE THROAT CHAKRA – is activated and balanced by blue stones. It is the center for communication, ideas, and learning. It’s important to note that this is the center for listening and seeing, as much as it is for speaking. This chakra is at the center of your throat.

THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA – resonates with purple and indigo stones and is the center for intuition, higher wisdom, visions, and inspiration. It is just above and between your eyebrows.

THE CROWN CHAKRA – resonates with clear, iridescent, and white stones. It is the center through which we connect to our higher self, our soul purpose, and our spiritual understanding. Your crown chakra is at the very top of your head.

Remember that your chakras are not on the front of your body, they are centers within you, accessible from both the front and the back. Each stone has a chakra or chakras associated with it. But the stone is not placed only on that chakra; it may be placed anywhere on the body.
